Role Overview
As the Manager – 3PL, you will lead and optimize third-party logistics operations across PAN India, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong operational performance, and excellent collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary contact for customers, understand requirements, and resolve issues promptly.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and service excellence.
- Support sales in execution of new business and onboarding new clients.
Vendor & 3PL Partner Management
- Lead coordination with 3PL partners, transporters, and service providers.
- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met; drive performance improvements and periodic evaluations.
Operations & Warehouse Oversight
- Oversee warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, inventory, storage, safety).
- Implement best practices to boost productivity, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage operational and coordination teams.
- Monitor performance, conduct reviews, and foster a motivated work culture.
Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare MIS reporting on key metrics (OTIF, inventory accuracy, cost, productivity).
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
Financial & Cost Management
- Monitor logistics and warehouse cost drivers; identify and implement cost-saving ideas.
- Support budgeting and financial planning.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Use data to recommend improvements and implement preventive solutions.
- Apply Japanese methodologies (5S, Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years experience in 3PL management, warehouse/logistics operations, and customer/vendor handling.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and build teams from scratch.
- Experience with Japanese work culture/methodologies and previous exposure to Japanese companies is preferred.
- Language known Kannada, Hindi, English.
