JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
Import Customs Clearance
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for filing of Bills of Entry (BOE).
- Verify import documents such as Invoice, Packing List, HAWB/MAWB, COO, and other mandatory certificates.
- Ensure correct HS Code classification, duty structure, and valuation as per Customs regulations.
- Manage special import cases such as:
- Used machinery
- Re-import shipments
- Resolve customs queries, objections, and assessments.
Freight Forwarding Operation
- Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, and transporters.
- Track shipment status from origin to final delivery.
- Monitor arrival schedules, free time, and demurrage/detention.
- Plan timely delivery to consignee to avoid additional charges.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of import customs clearance procedures
- Understanding of freight forwarding operations (Air/Sea)
- Familiarity with Customs ICEGATE, BOE filing, and import regulations
- Good communication and coordination skills
