Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of transport operations, including FTL (Full Truck Load)
- Plan, execute, and optimize transport schedules to ensure timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and manage daily placement of trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of transportation activities, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Sales Operations:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment of transport logistics with client needs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to offer logistics solutions, quotations, and delivery timelines for clients.
- Provide detailed reporting and analysis to sales teams on transport performance and any potential issues.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for key clients, ensuring accurate logistics data.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transport staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they stay up to date with industry standards.
- Handle staff scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters as necessary.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for transportation operations, ensuring cost optimization while maintaining service levels.
- Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
- Technology and Reporting:
- Utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) for reporting, budgeting, and process documentation.
- Employ transport management systems (TMS) to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.
- Prepare and present reports on transport operations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in transport and logistics management, with a focus on Full Truck Load (FTL) operations.
- Proven experience in managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on optimizing transportation processes and cost management.
- Knowledge of domestic transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Prior experience working in or managing supply chain operations is highly preferred.
